Transparent, decentralised infrastructure is the foundation of our development. Nothing is ever hidden.
- Everything is public. No transaction, community, project or person is hidden. Everything is public and nothing is hidden.
- Everything is stored on the relays, replicated in at least three places. Every event is stored so that it can always be restored from the relays.
- The system is decentralised. This means there are no central authorities.
- Every community is balanced on its own. Together they are connected through balanced wallets, and all exist in perfect balance.
- Things work independently of each other. Every community is a cell of its own: self-standing, balanced and technically independent. Together, they can connect by themselves into something more. Still, each is an entity of its own.
- The system is fast and robust. As a network it handles even 100 billion transactions a day and 10 billion users.
What this means in practice
- The whole ledger is kept through the relays. Nothing is truly local. Applications are only there to read from the relays, check and show.
- If any application or server disappears, the ledger is restored from the relays on any other computer.
- The only thing never public anywhere is private keys (BSA WIF). The key is the account and stays with the person.
Where this comes from. The first version (Dance2Abundance v1) was built to live on keys and relays, not on one server. Every payment was a note signed by the giver and countersigned by the node, kept on the Lana relays. The second version lost this in a few steps: the ledger is in a database on the server, payments are not published, seals hide balances. We are correcting this.
